『マリテ＋フランソワ・ジルボー』は、フランス人デザイナー、マリテ・ジルボーのカップルが作り出す、洗練された大人のシティカジュアルブランド。 60年代、アメリカのワークウエア的なイメージが強かったジーンズを、ヨーロピアンジーンズとして初めてスタイリッシュなアイテムにアレンジしたのが彼ら。

肌へ触れる感触や着心地を追求した事から、今では当たり前になった『ストーンウオッシュ加工』を発明したのもジルボーです。人体工学に基づいた立体裁断を早くから行うなど、彼らの発想から生まれるアイテムは、世界中で高い評価を得ています。

現在はジーンズを通して身につけた知識を、レザーやストレッチ素材へ活かし、現在ではミラノでメンズコレクションを、パリでレディスコレクションを発表しています。

Marithe and Francois Girbaud are French designers that turned
the image of Jeans from “working wears” to the “fashion item”.
Their sophisticated work has been highly regarded in the industry.
They brought quite sensation to the fashion scene by inventing
“Stone-wash process” and also by the fact of introducing 3D-Cutting
to their manufacture based on a human engineering at an early year.
Now they release their men’s collection in Milan, Italy and lady’s
Collection in Paris, France.
